Well, what can I say about myself? Hmm. To start with, I suppose I could inform you that my name happens to be Carl and that I am a friar in the employ of the Knights of the Holy Order, an organization dedicated to the eradication of those dark creatures now thought by popular culture and contemporary science to be nothing more than fanciful peasant tales and whispered nightmares.
Well, they're not. I should know. I've been studying them, researching and developing new weapons to destroy them, for a few years now and I like to think I've got my head on my shoulders.
It would certainly be difficult to read without it there, anyway.
That being said, I work at the Vatican in a lab I've earned through careful work, endless research, and several unfortunate accidents with unstable explosive chemicals, and I rarely leave, except when I'm dragged along on some mission or another with the...esteemable Van Helsing.

otherways Carl: Is the reincarnation of Carl, born roughly twenty-something years ago in New York to one Helen Christian-Dorsey and one Michael S. Dorsey. He was unwanted by his parents, a mistake with the Pill that the two were too conservative to correct with an abortion, and thus was sent away to boarding school in England almost immediately. He demanded, however, to go to college in the US, attending NYU for several years before gaining a degree in Library Science. At this point, he took a position in NYU's library and took an apartment in Queens with a number of friends, as his parents found out about his alternative sexuality only shortly after his graduation. His job at NYU was fine until he was found sleeping on the clock due to night terrors. He walked into the bar on the way to a club...and there you go.
As per othercanon, Carl/Stephen is also the hidden angel Raziel. More on that later.
